My passion for food started when I watched my mum cooking in the family restaurant, which is where I spent most of my childhood, getting on a stool and helping mummy stir the big pots of fresh tomato sauces, cutting vegetables and making the tiramisù.
Fascinated by this magical world, filled with delicious colours and heart warming tastes, I decided to pursue a culinary career.
Soon after school I learned the basics of cooking through my time travelling around Europe; working with experienced chefs in prestigious hotels such as Hyatt, Kempinsky and Berkley.
Through these experiences I was able to perfect my skill and develop my own personal style. The most important journey started when I arrived in London, 15 years ago. Through my London experience, I found people who believed in me and gave me the chance to participate in opening new restaurants.
I was offered the opportunity to relaunch Olives Restaurant and Bar, which I happily accepted, as I felt Olives matched my own beliefs in what I thought an Italian restaurant should be; simple and flavoursome, where fresh produce, passion and love are the basic ingredients of any recipe.
